“There is not enough space to list all the things I have done, tried, failed and accomplished throughout my 30 + years in education, but when you see a child’s self esteem soar because you helped secure medical treatment that eliminated a condition that made her feel different around her peers; when a mother can finally get her high school daughter on the bus with ease because you arranged for a community group to built a ramp from the door to the driveway; when a nearly blind third grader through the use of new technical equipment you requested was purchased by a community organization so she can do homework and she sees her face for the first time in her life – nothing replaces that joy and satisfaction. Of all the things I have done throughout my career in education, school social work is where my heart and love is. To give a student hope, see them bloom, grow and achieve – there is nothing better.”
On a personal note, the Mercer County native has two adult children and enjoys singing, outdoor dramas, and solving word and board puzzles.
